Principal’s Report: Tabled by: Dave Schofield
-Congratulations to the new 2010 P & C Office Bearers and a special thank you to outgoing 2009 committee for your whole-hearted support of our school.
-BER- still to commence – however we have selected colours for our new BDR
-School Self – Evaluation – Intensive Teacher Professional Development this semester with the three major domains of Quality Teaching being a focus. Curriculum Differentiation has also been an area of focus.
-Vertical streaming – Some students have been moved to higher or lower grouped classes according to their Needs. We are able to accommodate this through having whole school Literacy and Numeracy sessions.
-Learning Support class – is running very smoothly with 5 students now part of the class. Range of abilities IQ of 150 – IM. A second class a strong possibility.
-Class Structures – 2010 – 11 classes have been formed, numbers still quite volatile, we look highly likely to form a 12th class sometime in Term 2.
-New Assistant Principal – Mr David Bourke – wide range of experiences including Relieving AP – Jamberoo PS, Quality Teaching and Technology.
-School Photos- Tuesday 23rd March
-Selective High School Test – Thursday – 18th March
-Easter Hat Parade – 1st April – Last Day of Term
-Operation Art – students will shortly be asked for an Art sample
-Scripture – 3 lessons for term 1. Term 2 will be re-evaluated
-PLPs – 6 Aboriginal students at our school. Each student must have a Personalised Learning Plan completed. Teacher – parent - LST
